About CampHostJobs
CampHostJobs collects campground host openings from across the United States and Canada so hosts can search them in one place, free.
Where listings come from
- Federal volunteer programs posted on Volunteer.gov (National Park Service, Forest Service, Army Corps of Engineers, BLM, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Reclamation).
- Federal seasonal jobs from the official USAJOBS API.
- State and provincial park host programs and Parks Canada, summarized from each agency's own pages. Where an agency publishes which parks need hosts and when, those openings are listed park by park.
- Private campground operators: companies that run public campgrounds under contract and campground chains, read from their own careers pages.
- Campgrounds and parks that post directly with us.
Each listing is a short summary in our own words with a link to the original posting. You always apply with the employer. Listings show when they were last checked and are removed after their deadline.
How listings are collected
A program named CampHostJobsBot visits each source about once a day. It identifies itself by that name, follows each site's robots.txt, waits between requests, and reads only public job and volunteer pages. It stores facts such as the title, place, dates and pay, and links back to the source. It does not collect from Facebook, Craigslist, Indeed or other sites whose terms forbid it.
If you run a site and want your listings removed, corrected or added, write to hello@camphostjobs.com.
Working across the border
Hosting is often treated as work even when it is unpaid. US citizens hosting in Canada, or Canadians hosting in the US, usually need permission to work. Check the eligibility line on each listing and confirm with the employer.
