Due to an active wildfire in the area, the Gold Rush Snowmobile Trail is closed between the southernmost trailhead above the Village of Clinton (GPS coordinates: 51.100520, -121.582289?) and the Big Lake FSR west of 100 Mile House (GPS coordinates: 51.643651, -121.422164). In addition, all warming huts and parking areas along this portion of the trail are also closed. A large portion of the southern portion of the trail is currently under Evacuation Orders and Evacuation Alerts issued by both the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) and Cariboo Regional District (CRD).
