Campground host jobs in New Brunswick

New Brunswick campground work is mostly paid seasonal jobs in NB Parks provincial parks and Parks Canada's Fundy and Kouchibouguac national parks. Some provincial parks are run independently by local operators such as BGC Grand Manan, and community groups like the Saint John Horticultural Association run other campgrounds.

How campgrounds are run in New Brunswick

Government-run provincial parks

NB Parks runs parks such as Mactaquac, Mount Carleton, Sugarloaf, République, Parlee Beach and Murray Beach. Jobs are posted as Government of New Brunswick competitions with a number, location and closing date. Search by park name rather than by 'campground host'.

Independently operated provincial parks

The province lists some parks as public/private partnerships run by local operators, including The Anchorage, Oak Bay and Val-Comeau. Contact the operator directly about work; the province does not hire for these campgrounds.

Community and municipal campgrounds

Rockwood Park Campground in Saint John is managed by the Saint John Horticultural Association, and Campbellton RV Camping is tied to the Restigouche River Experience Centre and the City of Campbellton. These groups hire separately from the province.

National parks

Parks Canada hires for Fundy and Kouchibouguac through federal competitions. No campground-host program was confirmed at either park.

Crown land camping is not a job

Short-term camping on Crown land is allowed under provincial rules, and Crown camp lots are leased to individuals. Neither means there is a staffed campground or an employer.

Paid jobs, volunteer hosting and contracts

Paid seasonal jobs are the main option, at NB Parks, Parks Canada and local operators (reception, cleaning, maintenance, attendant roles). No volunteer host program or campsite-for-work exchange was confirmed. Operating and service contracts are posted on the New Brunswick Opportunities Network; none open was found.
