Campground host jobs in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan campground work is mostly paid seasonal jobs with Sask Parks, with locally run regional parks, and with a few private operators and Prince Albert National Park. Regional park authorities hire their own staff, often for combined campground, grounds, golf, pool and concession work.

How campgrounds are run in Saskatchewan

Sask Parks seasonal jobs

Sask Parks hires gate attendants, maintenance workers, rangers and campsite-office staff, mostly for May to August terms. There is a student stream with its own eligibility rules, but it is not the only route. Accommodation may be available in some cases, so check each competition.

Regional parks hire for themselves

Each regional park authority posts its own jobs and takes its own applications. Ads appear on the park's website, SaskJobs, the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association job board or the SPRA careers board. Terms vary: Emerald Lake's 2026 maintenance job had no accommodation, and Meeting Lake hires its park manager on an annual contract.

Forest recreation sites

Bronson Forest Recreation Site and Porcupine Hills Provincial Park (formed from former recreation sites) are run by Sask Parks. Contact the nearby park office to ask who hires staff for these smaller forest campgrounds.

Business opportunities in provincial parks

People who want to run a business or service in a provincial park go through Park Business Services, usually by a competitive request for proposals. Government tenders are posted on SaskTenders. This route is for businesses, not for people seeking a seasonal job.

Paid jobs, volunteer hosting and contracts

Paid seasonal jobs are the main route: Sask Parks, regional parks such as Thomson Lake, Sandy Beach and Emerald Lake, and Parks Canada at Prince Albert National Park. Regional park manager roles can be annual contracts (Meeting Lake). Business opportunities in provincial parks go through Park Business Services and SaskTenders. No province-wide volunteer campground host program was found.
